DESCRIPTION: Cheshire Watch Co., Cheshire, Conn., 18 size, 6 jewels, stem wind and set gilt plate movement, with lever escapement and uncut balance, in a nickel, hinged bezel Cheshire open face case, and Roman numeral, single sunk, white enamel dial, blued steel spade hands, serial #80333, c1890
CONDITION: CASE: Dings and pin pricks; Scratches and minor spots on outer surface of case; Case with marks and scratches from an aggressive attempt to open the back; Very fine scratches on inner surface of case or cuvette. DIAL: Excellent . HANDS: Speck of oxide at tip of minute, otherwise very good. MOVEMENT PLATES: Minor spotting and haze. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks), low amplitude.
